Here we go again
Howdy Folks,
Another Winter in Florida slipping by fast....... Time to start looking ahead and looking back...... Nancy & I had a swell time at home with lots of visitors from the cold North from Norway, Scotland, NY, Cleveland, NC and who knows from where else. We enjoyed the company and are looking forward to another Cross Country Tour.
The "Spring Training" gigs are over and I'm ready to get back to regular performing and traveling. Had a super show with Frank Bowman & his clarinet as featured on the last cd, The Good Book. I Performed at The Firehouse Art Center in Ruskin and The Craftsman House Gallery in St. Pete as we which both were packed houses and a lot of fun!
I did have one Winter festival, in Saskatoon of all places in February..... Had to fly to Denver, before catching a plane north up to Canada and some real cold temps! I was picked up at the airport and zipped to the hotel, where my show was scheduled for the next evening. Enjoyed hanging out and sharing stories with Bob Margolin and his sidekick, Tad Waters. They did a great set of down home Mississippi style blues that rocked the house. Got to meet with Rick Estrin, Kid Anderson and a few other bluesmen who performed with bands at another venue, but I never headed out to see the shows, just to cold, below zero! My suitcase arrived a day late, but in time for my show on Saturday and I was taken to the airport at 4 am on Sunday. Total time out of Florida 48 hours..... "I love the life I'm Leading"....
Looking forward to another cross country tour and it looks like a great one! Especially excited about The Jimmie Rodgers Festival in Meridian, MS and The Woody Guthrie Fest in Okemah, OK. And of course MERLEFEST and Jorma's Fur Peace Ranch which are both always a highlight!
Hope to see you on the road and wishing you a great Spring, Summer and Fall......
Bye Now, The "Book"
